  39. About two years ago we were able to almost single-frame using an AG-1960
  40. Panasonic S-VHS deck.  If you have access to one (that the owner won't mind
  41. you abusing) I will send you the procedure.

  43. You might try making some contact with people in your area that have similar 
  44. interests.  Maybe you can work a trade of some sort to borrow their equipment.

  46. It is also my opinion that making good animations is going to be even more 
  47. difficult without an output device.  It is tough to judge motion without a 
  48. good output device.  We use low-res outputs to the PAR to help rough out 
  49. motions.  It is relatively quick.

  51. You don't want someone to tell you, but I'm gonna anyway.  If you are really 
  52. serious about this, a PAR is the minimum quality you should settle for.  If 
  53. you don't have the money, get it.  Get a second job.  Borrow it.  Ask your 
  54. rich uncle (ha!).  I don't know your personal situation, but find a way.  
  55. Consider this a gut check to help determine how serious you are.
